About Us........

     Ever since I was a child, I have had a love of baking.  Some of my fondest memories were of being in the kitchen with my mother, making everything from homemade bread to wonderful cookies and cakes.  One of my favorite Christmas presents was my Easy Bake Oven.  Watching my creations baking over an ordinary lightbulb was just magical.

     I have passed that love of baking and creativity onto my daughter, Jenifer.  We've spend many happy hours together in the kitchen, swapping stories and recipes.  Now she's a mom herself and no doubt will be baking with her son someday.

     In 2004 we decided to start The Cake Girls Bakery.  Whether you are in need of a custom designed wedding cake, specialty cake, or cupcakes and cookie favors, we can create handcrafted, custom items to suit your needs.  Your tastebuds will be enlivened by our blend of flavors and textures.  Our fresh ingredients will make your parties and events the talk of the town.  Your friends will be asking "Where did you get that cake?"

Invitations

My daughter and assistant, Jenifer is the card designer, and the other half of the business.  She has done some really beautiful designs, so I wanted to get some posted right away.  The nice thing is, all of these coordinated to the cakes that we designed for those parties.  We can do that for any event.  Just ask us!

Father's Day Gifts

Summer Cakes

     Some of you might be thinking that cake is an awfully heavy dessert for the summer.  You want to keep things light.  Well let me tell you about two wonderful summer cakes that will make your mouth water.

     The first cake is our Lemon Cake.  This cake is a light yellow lemon bundt cake filled with our home-made lemon curd.  The cake is then drizzled with a delicious lemon glaze, and topped with sugared lemon slices. Very refreshing served at your summer pool parties.

     The second cake is our Zabainoe Cake or Italian Rum Cake.  This is an Italian sponge cake, filled with marsala wine custard filling, (zabaglione) and your choice of berries.  Each layer of cake is brushed with a rum simple syrup, then covered in rich vanilla whipped cream.  I dare you to eat just one piece!

Cupcakes

Amazing little bits of heaven, our cupcakes are rich and moist and, well amazing!  We have 2 sizes to choose from.  Traditional cupcake size, and bitesize.  Either way, the make a stunning addition to any occasion.
All cupcakes are available in any of our cake flavors and can be decorated to coordinate to you occasion.   The traditional sized cupcakes can also be filled with custard, chocolate ganache, marshmallow, or fruit.

A lot of people have been asking what flavors of cake and frosting we offer.  So I've put together a list of both.  Don't see what you're looking for?  Don't worry!  We can find  any recipe and bake any flavor, or use your families favorite recipe if you prefer.  Cakes:  Chocolate, Vanilla, Marble, Red Velvet, Carrot, Hummingbird, Lemon, Strawberry, Spice, German Chocolate.  Frostings:  Vanilla Butter cream, Chocolate Butter cream, Strawberry Butter cream, Lemon Butter cream, Chocolate Fudge, German Chocolate, Cream Cheese  -  We also offer fondant upon request.
