Summer Cakes

     Some of you might be thinking that cake is an awfully heavy dessert for the summer.  You want to keep things light.  Well let me tell you about two wonderful summer cakes that will make your mouth water.

     The first cake is our Lemon Cake.  This cake is a light yellow lemon bundt cake filled with our home-made lemon curd.  The cake is then drizzled with a delicious lemon glaze, and topped with sugared lemon slices. Very refreshing served at your summer pool parties.

     The second cake is our Zabainoe Cake or Italian Rum Cake.  This is an Italian sponge cake, filled with marsala wine custard filling, (zabaglione) and your choice of berries.  Each layer of cake is brushed with a rum simple syrup, then covered in rich vanilla whipped cream.  I dare you to eat just one piece!
